Happy June! It is a month that I always look forward to, mostly because I love summer! The hotter the better! Hopefully that hot weather comes around soon…With a new month, that means that the May challenge is over and a new one begins! I figured that means it is the time to recap how I did on last month’s goals and set some new monthly goals! Read about my last month’s goals here !
I can say that I set a lot of goals last month and thankfully I actually completed some! Not successful in all, but so is life…The scale, as stubborn as that damn thing is, did go down. Now, it only went down about a pound but down is down. One of the best parts about these challenges is having someone take my measurement, and I lost about 3 inches. It is so easy to get discouraged when that scale doesn’t move, but seeing inches go away means that my efforts are not going without some reward.
I also tracked my points for at least five days a week, even if I went over them a little bit. Every week I went to Pound class, and even made it twice a couple weeks. In addition to attending Pound, I also added a couple classes a week and those 6 a.m. walks. My exercise game is on point; I also live in a constant state of sore, but that means it is working, right?
For my personal goals, I have worked so hard on my current Tax class! It is rough! But that perfect GPA looks like it is sticking! The class has taken a lot of my time and energy, so the blog may have suffered slightly, (sorry about that!) so not quite successful in that goal. As far as the closet clean out, well that never happened…oops! Oh and I also lost the challenge (not without a lot of effort!), but maybe this month…
- My always goals…to lose some pounds. Summer is always the hardest time for me to lose weight. This girl loves some ice cream (or frozen yogurt), potato salad, pasta salad and the like…but by the end of the month I am hoping for more pounds down and more inches lost. I have two trips coming up in July, so I have to focus!
- Stay motivated. I want to continue to push myself to workout and eat healthier. I can oftentimes find myself unmotivated to meal prep, especially in the summer months. That is why a challenge is always a good idea for me because it keeps me accountable and it gets my competitive juices flowing!
- That Darn Closet. It’s on the goal list, maybe this month I will succeed in actually organizing that mess….
Cheers to a great month!
