Today’s #FashionFriday post, I figured another dress was in order. It is that time of year, after all! There is something awesome about a simple Maxi dress, you can easily dress it up or down or even wear it as a cover-up on the beach. You can also find them at super affordable prices.
This dress I actually purchase last year to go to the Bristol Fourth of July Ball. (If you do not know about Bristol, RI, it is home of the longest running Fourth of July Parade, and it is a huge event in town…I will be sharing more details of that on the blog when it gets closer!) The ball was Kentucky Derby theme, so the floral with perfect. Throw in the cute fascinator, it was so fun! (Side note-hello double chin, and can someone please tell me to stand up straight!)
This dress is from modcloth.com and it is available again here!
I randomly found ModCloth one day and I have bought multiple dresses from there. They have lots of unique, funky items at all price points and all sizes. A lot of them have a fun retro vibe, so it is also a good place to find items for events with themes (like the Kentucky Derby!).
I decided to wear this dress to the beach party, which was on St. Patrick’s Day, mostly because it was green. But it fit the location perfectly. The dress is super comfortable; it is like a t-shirt material, so I was even able to play lots of beach volleyball in it! (that’s why I had to tie it up a little!) It is a dress I can wear over and over again, which isn’t that what you want out of any outfit!
I am looking forward to wearing it again…hopefully on a beach somewhere, again…
